Machine Screws

  • machinescrews

The machine screw is a metal screw or machined screw. Machine screws are made of various materials such as: steel, stainless steel, brass, aluminum, titanium, nylon, and other material types. Machine screws are mated with threaded items such as threaded holes or threaded nuts. There are
several head styles available.

The one type of head that is not available anywhere is the "Phillips head", or another one called "slotted head". You may have heard this being used in the movies or in television shows, but in fact, there is no such thing. Phillips and slotted are not heads, but instead they are drives.
Drives deal with how the screw is driven into mating threads and materials.
