Copper solderless lugs from CMC are manufactured from high strength pure electrolytic copper. This high quality material provides maximum electrical conductivity and superior strength.

Cal Fasteners offers CMC’s full line of solderless copper connectors, with a range of sizes, capacities, and configurations available. Type BC and 2BC solderless copper lugs are part of CMC’s PosiGrip line. These dual-rated connectors are designed to meet the strict requirements of UL 486B and CSA1165A specifications covering connectors used with aluminum and copper conductors.
Low contact resistance is a major element of UL 468B requirements and a key to long working life for any electrical connection. CMC’s PosiGrip products are engineered with unique I-beam bodies and conductor hole configurations, as well as specially designed and treated screws, to minimize or eliminate high-resistance connector failures caused by thermal expansion, creep, and insufficient clamping force.
These connectors’ I-beam designs provide superior gripping action, allowing the set screw to separate conductor strands  and break down inner strand oxidation. This ensures long connector life and superior performance, regardless of the conductor type used. This also provides greater flexibility.
PosiGrip products are lot-inspected for proper dimensions, material properties, set screw and conductor hole alignment, and plating. Screw and body thread class are also inspected.
All PosiGrip products are UL and CSA listed, and RoHS compliant. Certified for use with conductors having thermal insulation ratings of 90°C or lower.
